Summary of our Trip to Korea in 2007
In November 2007 the Hanmadang Taekwondo Festival has been organized in Suwon, a city just about some 40km outside of Seoul. Suwon is also famous about its Traditional Korean Village, where the former traditional life of Korean people can be witnessed. Having lead several groups of Taekwondo students to Korea in the past, we wanted to take this opportunity to guide another group of Taekwondo afficionados to Korea and participated at the Hanmadang at the same time. There was also a chance to visit the 2nd World Taekwondo Poomse Championships which had been held from Nov. 4th until Nov. 6th in Incheon, just nearby Seoul.
Like always, we stayed for some days in Korea's capital Seoul and then moved to Suwon. Besides participating at the Hanmadang, we to stayed some days longer and visited Jeonju University and Buan National Park as well as Naesosa Temple. Of course we also visited the Kukkiwon, the World Center of Taekwondo and enjoyed the many shopping opportunities in Seoul.
