ETU forms a new committee for A-Class tournaments.
Due to the rising importance of ETU A-Class tournaments ETU has installed a new committee dealing with this matter. A-Class tournaments are the top level Taekwondo championships in Europe and the form the basis for the ETU ranking list. A growing number of organizers are applying for the status of A-Class and they have to meet certain standards for obtaining it.
The new committee will watch closely over the standards and will propose A-Class tournaments to the ETU board for the current year. In 2010 there are already a number of high class Taekwondo tournaments with this status on the ETU event calendar. They are marked with a red "A"-sign in a circle. Organizers who want to obtain the A-Class status can apply at the ETU office and will be screened by the new committee.
The chairman of the A-Class committee is Mr. Andrew Link from England (see picture), members are Mr. Steve Grommen (Belgium), Mr. Jesus Tortoga (Spain) and Mr. Sascha Zimmermann (Germany).
